PDG and Novo Nordisk win Sales & Marketing Gold

December 20, 2011

Brandon Hall Group recently bestowed their prestigious Gold Excellence Award in Sales and Marketing on Performance Development Group and Novo Nordisk for their partnership in creating the Diabetes Sales Academy (DSA).  DSA was recognized as Best Program for Sales Training and Performance.

Novo Nordisk is a global healthcare company, with 29,300 employees in 76 countries, with products marketed in 170 countries.  While Novo Nordisk provides therapies for many conditions, it is perhaps the world leader in providing effective therapies for Diabetes. Novo Nordisk’s vision was for the Diabetes Sales Academy (DSA)to be the catalyst for transforming their sales force into one that physicians recognize as the industry’s most effective and trusted in diabetes care.

In order to accomplish that, Novo Nordisk partnered with PDG to:

  • Complete a detailed analysis, involving many levels of organizational stakeholders
  • Uncover the knowledge gaps that needed to be closed in order to get the sales force to the “next level.”
  • Identify the importance of clinical comprehension and how to discuss with health care professionals
  • Engage sales managers as drivers of content and coaches
  • Create a blended curriculum that engaged the sales force
  • Put together an effective Change Management and Communication plan to truly change the way the sales force was trained

According to PDG Managing Partner David Manning, “PDG is proud of our partnership with Novo Nordisk. Our goal is not just to provide training solutions, but to drive our clients’ business success.  We think we really made a difference with DSA.  We’re excited by this award, but the most important metric is our client’s success.”
